Exhibition

The Veshch! (Object!) is an exhibition held at the All-Russian Decorative Art Museum to showcase examples of 20th-century Russian design and provide insight into how these works have inspired contemporary artists. The impact of these designs has caused a rethinking in many domains, from folk art traditions to hi-tech smart home systems. The dialogue between the objects of the 20th and 21st centuries highlights the continuity of design ideas across generations. The design team created a visual identity and an advertising campaign for the exhibition as well as accompanying graphics. Each of the 240 objects was turned into a pictogram that appears across various media, from the audio guide to exhibition object labels.
