Sustainable road freight transport

The "Vision HDRT" truck concept aims to reorient the field of road freight transport through the intelligent integration of autonomous driving functions. An autonomously controlled convoy with aerodynamically optimized vehicles increases efficiency in road freight transport by minimizing air resistance. The lead vehicle, a plug-in hybrid with both a fuel cell and a battery, enables electrical energy to be transferred to the follow-on vehicles via conductive charging. Various audiovisual means of communication, such as controllable lighting elements and displays, can be used to transmit information to other road users and pedestrians.
