Sign language translator

The hearing impaired use sign language to communicate with each other, but the majority of the non-hearing impaired do not know sign language, which makes communication difficult. The hearing impaired are unable to explain their situation when there is a problem, which makes it difficult for them to get the proper help when it is needed. The two cameras attached to this product “interpret” the sign language of the hearing impaired and the translation is emitted by a voice through the speaker. I also didn’t want users to feel uncomfortable when using the product, so I designed the sign language interpreter to look good.

JURY STATEMENT

Communication is a two-way street. At last an aid, and an intermediary, between the sound of hearing and the hearing impaired.

WINNER STATEMENT

It is an honor to win the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD, which I really wanted to win. This award will be remembered as an unforgettable experience in my design career. It will make me work harder in the future and I will try my best each and every time.
