Voyage of Imagination

Exhibition design

National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA)

The exhibition structure for Voyage of Imagination is a sort of passageway of compressed time. This structure will serve as a temporary offline platform for Voyage of Imagination online exhibition. This place will host stories about the changes to come in the environment of art museums 30 years from now. It will become the space that delivers a compressed experience of amplified time. Conceptually the design of exhibition space is based on the assumption and perception that time and space in the universe may have domains where they can be found in a compressed state, different to the form in which they exist on earth.
