The first valve terminal was invented by Festo in 1989, so designing a new valve terminal is always a special task. The challenge with complex modular systems such as the highly modular VTUX valve terminal is to define an architecture that takes all modules and configuration variants into account and integrates them. The interplay of the overall picture and detailing in the design of the functional components, which are often also a direct customer interface, makes the task particularly exciting.
