Wabi-sabi: Celebrating the Natural Passage of Time

Green building

This green building integrates circular design principles with the aesthetics of wabi-sabi, creating a living environment through thoughtful spatial planning and the use of locally sourced materials. Designed for vacations, everyday adventures and social gatherings, the building blends practicality with aesthetics. Natural, renewable, and recyclable materials, such as diatomaceous earth paint, bamboo, cedar, aluminum, and OSB boards, are thoughtfully selected to minimize environmental impact. Each floor showcases either Japanese or Balinese style, thoughtfully crafted to restore a lasting connection between people and nature over time.
