War on Drugo

Short animation

Intended to be a tool to explain the war against drugs, and broaden this debate with the general public, the film tells this story as if it were a fairy tale with dragons, kings and knights in armor. In this medieval setting, a dragon is named Drugo, and was banned by the king, who was concerned that people was spending too much time with it. Even so, people continued to go after the dragon and ended up arrested. An informal market was formed to promote people to reach Drugo, without the king’s acknowledge. The king, in an attempt to stop the escalating crime formed around this market, decreed a war to fight Drugo.

iF Gold Statement

This film tackles the issue of drugs in an extremely creative way: it narrates a gripping, medieval story that functions as a metaphor for the war on drugs. The fantastic animation enthuses with many beautiful details. It stands a very good chance to actually reach its target audience, especially because the totally untypical set, which is far removed from the actual contents, opens up a new perspective.
