Water-carrying device

African countries have suffered from water shortage for a long period and are suffering from more serious water shortage further on. Thus, mainly the kids spend at least five hours a day to bring water to their homes which is even tough for grown up. However, all the devices to carry water are mainly made only for grown up, not for kids. Water-Board is a water-carrying device combining "riding" with "fun" to make long and boring water-carrying journeys more convenient and interesting. Furthermore, by using simple power generation technology, not only water but also lighting can be given to those with shortage of not only water but light as well.

JURY STATEMENT

A scooter that makes the daily chore of fetching water quicker and which is also fun to ride. The energy generated at the same time can also be converted into light.

WINNER STATEMENT

I was just an ordinary student who was majoring in product design. However, when I heard that I received the prize, I felt that my ability was recognized. I am very grateful to receive the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD 2017.
