WATER is a fast charging network for electric vehicles in Korea. Located in the coastal area of Yangyang, facing Korea’s East Sea, the project features a canopy made from domestically sourced wood. By minimizing the use of steel and concrete, the station dramatically reduces carbon emissions. Designed to withstand the corrosive effects of the coastal climate, the station utilized robust wood materials. It represents Korea's first canopy structure made entirely of wood, also incorporating the industry’s first drive-thru layout, setting it apart from other charging stations while achieving sustainability and maximizing locally sourced products.
