Every year, about 36 billion pieces of clothing are produced all over the world, which means that 36 billion tags have to be made to match them; that is an amazing number and a lot of wood is consumed to manufacture those tags. To solve this problem, we redesigned the tag. Now it is made primarily of laundry soap or detergent, it is flexible and completely bio-degradable; even the string is water-soluble. The new clothes can be washed directly after they are purchased, whereby the tag dissolves into liquid detergent and washes out any residual chemicals in the clothing. This is also much kinder to the consumer’s skin.
