The signage design for the new University of Modena and Reggio Emilia building within the "Reggiane Parco Innovazione" accompanies students from the entrance to the central square and from there to the departments. It was designed to merge the visual identity of the University with the architecture of a building considered industrial archaeology, included within a larger urban regeneration project. The challenge was to combine an architectural landscape of the early 20th century, made of metal pylons drawing intricate textures between and on surfaces, with an obvious but not extraneous sign.
