Wearable Harness Radio

Two-way radio

Motorola Solutions Innovation Design and Engineering Development Teams

This wearable harness radio redefines the traditional two-way radio as a device that is worn rather than carried. It enables "Hands free/Eyes up" usability for users who require the ability to communicate while engaging in critical activities such as using tools, managing equipment, or assisting other people. The audio system is intuitively located at ear level and the weight is evenly distributed throughout the device. A 'man down' feature senses when a user is not moving and automatically activates an emergency alert. This design explores a new way to deliver two-way communication in a safe, efficient, and intuitive package.

iF Gold Statement

A flexible, forward looking concept for a two-way radio for industrial use in loud environments, when both hands are needed for other tasks. An integrated emergency system is another excellent feature. All features are well-considered, and the use cases are clear.
