A gift card introduced at New Year by Fuenfwerken passes on the responsibility of donating money to the recipient. How, or even whether, they "buy" happiness with the printed five-Euro note is up to them. Even if the note is only used for their own purposes, it could possibly encourage subsequent owners to do good - and not only at Christmas time. With this concept, Fuenfwerken Design is taking an offensive stance towards the sensitive topic of monetary gifts, turning against coy acts of charity and highlighting the mutual interests served by donating money.
