Welt am Sonntag

Daily newspaper

The challenge: To reposition the paper for an upmarket audience, without looking like a rip off of the Sunday paper from competitor Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung. The concept: The Welt am Sonntag will adopt a more modern, personal and credible viewpoint. Who says a Sunday paper can’t be more sophisticated? The result: Christoph Keese, the paper’s editor-in-chief, becomes Germany’s the “Editor of the Year” for managing the successful relaunch.
