The film "Design Becomes Magic" is part of the Gaggenau microsite "Essays on Culture & Lifestyle", which offers background information on the latest trends in line with the motto "Exclusive cooking culture and a cultivated lifestyle". It is a portrait of the young Parisian designer Benjamin Graindorge, a creator of unconventional but functional designs. He describes his work, beginning with an idea and ending with a finished piece of furniture. Graindorge thinks design is similar to poetry, which often describes things not as they are but as we feel about them. And in his opinion, design exists in order to lend more spice to our surroundings.
