Wooden Stethoscope by Adachi Clinic Kobe
Stethoscope design
Adachi Clinic Kobe Design LaboratoryWe envisioned a stethoscope designed with the patient’s comfort at its core, prioritizing warmth and comfort through the use of warm natural materials like wood instead of cold steel for the parts that touch the user. Wooden Traube stethoscopes continue to play a vital role in midwifery, allowing intimate connections between caregivers and pregnant mothers. In creating medical tools like stethoscopes, we believe that user experience should never be overlooked; functionality should be harmonized with design. Moving away from conventional steel molds, we drew inspiration from the artistry of skilled woodworkers using the beauty of natural wood.
