Architecture

Because of the recent cultural shift in Japan with diversification of values, dominance of the nuclear family, declining birthrate, etc., maintenance and inheritance of individual graves has become difficult for many people. Accordingly, this exterior architectural installation seeks out a new way to link people to departed friends and relatives. It uses the form of a letter to create a template within which people can pray for and remember their dead.
