Commercial interior design
Round plates 2.8 meters in diameter are arranged across the ceiling of this cinema lobby to represent film reels, forming a dynamic ceiling feature. The plates are aluminum panels painted in wood patterns. These, together with lighting effects, create a sense of suspension, resembling film reels in the midst of rotation. The stone floor aligns with the ceiling feature, and darker stones imitate shadows of the round plates. The pattern also strengthens the sense of movement of the ceiling feature.
