The xCam is XFINITY Home's indoor/outdoor Wi-Fi camera. It features high-definition video, a 109-degree field of view, and infrared night vision. Its distinct polyhedral form achieves its compact size by cleverly moving the power supply and Wi-Fi antennas into a smart wall plug. Other devices integrate the Wi-Fi antennas into the camera housing, as, when mounted outdoors, the wireless signal must transmit through dense exterior walls. By integrating the Wi-Fi antennas into the power supply, installers can plug the xCam into an interior outlet, thus improving the security, overall range of connection, and placement flexibility.
