Xi Jiu

Spirits and liquor packaging

The challenge was to highlight the natural and ecological concept of Xi Jiu. The bottle and the outer box boldly adopt the shape of a rice kernel. Rice needs water to grow, a fact reflected in the box's flowing water texture. A black waterdrop creates a sharp contrast with the white of the rice; it also highlights the essence of the seed. The neck of the bottle features a hand-painted map of the Chishui River, and the contrast between black and white again brings out the elegant beauty of the overall design.
