XI tiles for wall and floor are made of waste soil material from metro construction and concrete. Bentu set out to find a valuable use for urban development waste. The tiles have a concise form and a thickness of 2.5cm while maintaining greater hardness and durability than conventional soil tiles. The simple natural texture of soil responds to the modern longing for nature. Bentu combined ancient rammed earth building techniques and modern integrated casting technique to create a product that is sustainable in production, use and disposal.
