Commercial interior design

This interior was designed for a store that sells study desks and miscellaneous goods for children, made from natural Japanese cypress and cedar. The brand philosophy is “cherishing Japanese trees”. The designers intentionally created a space that would appeal to children's sense of adventure and exploration. The long tunnel has a spaceship feel but it also feels warm and inviting thanks to the abundance of light Tenryu cedar and the natural light that enters through the frequent alcoves. The designers hope that a visit to this tunnel store will become an indelible memory for families, just like the study desk is an indelible scene from everyone's childhood.
