Installation art using light
In the Yabitsu district of Arida, Wakayama Prefecture, about 44% of the 146 buildings are vacant. With the desire to convey the charm of this place, a light installation art was planned and implemented from 25-27 August 2022. Two messages were included: the attractiveness of Yabitsu and the current state of depopulation, which is expressed by illuminating only the vacant houses.
