The designers aimed to create a place where communication occurs naturally, quickly building a relationship of trust by eliminating patient anxiety. By utilizing the existing large beams, they created a space where patients have a sense of privacy while maintaining the transparency of open space. This has a reassuring effect on patients and makes it easier for staff to communicate. They also incorporated artworks to soften the ambiance and make patients and staff feel at ease.
