In 2003, Hyundai Card developed its own corporate font, Youandi, inspired by the shape of a credit card, and applied the typeface to its CI and all areas of branding to strengthen the corporate image of Hyundai Card. The card-shaped Youandi font is meanwhile considered a pioneer in corporate typeface and used as a benchmark by numerous companies. The font was modernized in 2013 and again in 2021 as Youandi New. This new version has been optimized for digital environments, such as apps and web pages, offering improved legibility and balance between Korean, English, and symbols as well as an expanded number of styles. The typeface is Korea’s first digital variable font for corporate use.
