packaging and branding

This Japanese sake was developed by MITSUBISHI CHEMICAL with the use of a special filter that removes only water during the alcohol brewing process, resulting in a sake that has double the alcohol content and flavor of regular sake. This package design represents this new filtration technique, with a graphic image to illustrate sake rice being dissolved into the bottle. Upon opening the sake box, it is as if you are witnessing the filtration process as you see rice grains through the transparent sake bottle.
