We have designed, conceptualized and developed a whole digital ZDF universe, which is permanently available for smartphones, tablets and even TV boxes. The combination of the ZDF library with VOD content, the current live program and additional ZDF Second Screen offers for popular TV shows, make the app the perfect mobile “watchbox.” Furthermore, the viewer gets additional material for big events, such as the world championship or the champions league. The ZDF Second Screen contents have never been before available in such form from other TV providers and supply new interactions for the users. The audience is able to communicate directly with the program.
