The whole weight of Zhang Huan’s art has been translated into a giant format. Starting on the cover, the most important works are displayed in chronological order, with maximum space devoted to them, as in a portfolio. The powerful layout of the pictures is backed up by typography in light font weights. The switch to a lighter paper underscores the commentary nature of the text section. The artist’s name is punched into the back of the book. This “injury” is a reference to Zhang Huan’s physically uncompromising work.
