Spatial installation

In the historic staircase of Berlin’s Museum of Natural History, visitors experience the evolution of the universe. The voyage through time and space starts from a large sofa in the building’s basement. From a height of 14 meters, a circular projection screen slowly descends towards the viewers, showing in fast motion the development from Big Bang to the present. At its lowest point, the viewers see themselves in the projection as a live image. Going back up, the projection shows the dimension of space, flying from planet earth far into the vastness of the universe. Through speakers in the sofa, an off-narrator comments on the projection.
