DYCTEAM - BASIC series - seawool collection
Clothing
DYC co., LTD
One of the prosperous aquacultures in Taiwan is oyster farming, which produces around 200 million kilos of oysters per year. Industry data shows that around 160 million kilos of oyster shells are discarded, a process that also creates unpleasant odors. The functional yarn for this clothing, Seawool, is made of PET bottles and oyster shell powder. The yarn is a perfect example of a circular economy. Fabrics made of Seawool are also perforated with tiny holes, which increases breathability and comfort in the summer. The fabric has also been treated with 3M fluorine-free water repellent for use in humid and rainy climates. The result is fashionable men's clothing that is both practical and functional.
