VOICI! ELLE, Communication and Visual Education for Girls
VOICI!ELLE impacted directly in the lives of the children and the community. The group of images makes a genuine visual testimony of the girls's worldview and raises attention to the power and creativity that exists inside inhabitants of communities as Maré Slum.The results of the workshops was presented in a book – Aos Olhos Dela… ( In her Sight…) – and in two exhibitions – at Rio's French Consulate, at Fondation Air France ( Paris). The uniqueness of the pictures gived rise to media interest. All this coverage had a positive impact in the children's self-esteem as well as in their families.
