riese und müller

Riese und Müller: Because we believe. For 20 years “suspended cycling” has been the company’s mantra. The firm Riese and Müller was founded in Darmstadt and produces full-suspension bikes. The founders and CEO’s Markus Riese and Heiko Mueller, both with degrees in mechanical engineering began the development of their first bike, the full-suspension folding bike Birdy, in 1992. The Birdy developed quickly to become a best seller and today is sold in more than 20 countries. In the wake of Birdy’s success, the following years resulted in a wide range of models which has grown to include nine models in the 2013 model year. Among them are 25 electric-assisted bicycles which at Riese and Müller go by the name "hybrid". The bike manufacturer has set the goal of becoming the market leader in the premium E-bike segment within the next five years. Characteristic of all the bikes from Riese und Müller is a full suspension system with a very unique design of the absolute highest quality. Its headquarters in Weiterstadt currently employs over 100 people. Here the staff oversees the development, assembly and sale of bicycles for the European market.
