Design Statement

Since its founding in 1959 as the Tanihata Kumiko store, We have used Asanoha-a hemp leaf pattern as the company’s symbol. This pattern has been used in Shinto rituals and celebrations as a symbol of good luck since ancient times in Japan. They say that hemp is a plant that has a strong life force.
