Yoshiko Nakayama Architects and Associates,Inc is an architectural design studio headed by Yoshiko Nakayama. Yoshiko Nakayama is a Japanese first-class architect and project designer,graduated at the top of her class from Y-GSA, Yokohama National University, and worked at Nihon Sekkei, a major architectural design firm, before establishing her own studio in 2024. Major awards include iF DESIGN AWARD 2023,DFA Award 2024,GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2024,BCS Award 2024,IESNY LUMEN AWARDS 2023, and more.

Design Statement

With "empathy” as our keyword, we contribute to solving social issues through architectural and urban project design and the realization of innovative spaces. We question what is “normal” in the world, determine the essence of the issues, co-create with our clients from the given conditions, and create a vision that can be shared. In order to realize that vision, we select our output method from a variety of options, with a focus on architectural design.
