TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards 2023 takes bicycle design to the next level

Bicycle designers, manufacturers, and retailers are welcome to present their latest R&D achievements by 12 December 2022, to compete for the honor of being in the spotlight at the largest bicycle show in Asia – TAIPEI CYCLE 2023 (22 to 25 March). The organizers, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Taiwan Bicycle Association, have once again commissioned iF Design ASIA Ltd. to organize the competition.

The winners of the TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards 2023 will be selected by renowned experts from around the world. Those who perform outstandingly in terms of design and innovation and best demonstrate the selection criteria of

Innovation and Elaboration, Functionality, Aesthetics, Responsibility, and Positioning can win the TAIPEI CYCLE Gold Award. The special prize Gold Award – Young Enterprise will be awarded to new companies (those established after 1 January 2019). For the first time, the Gold Award – Green Prize will be given to products that have been designed according to the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and incorporated them into manufacturing, materials, and usage processes.

This year marks the first collaboration with the internationally renowned design institution iF Design. Winners of the TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards 2023 will be able to participate in the iF DESIGN AWARD 2024 for free and automatically qualify for the iF Final Jury. This will be the great opportunities for the innovative winning products to step onto the international design stage.

All award-winning products will be showcased in a special exhibition at TAIPEI CYCLE.

The award is co-organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Taiwan Bicycle Association. iF DESIGN ASIA Ltd. Taiwan, subsidiary of iF International Forum Design GmbH in Germany, has been commissioned to organize the award. This award has become an important accolade for the global bicycle industry since its inception in 2012. It recognizes outstanding innovative products in the bicycle industry, leading and reflecting industry trends. Winning products are exhibited at TAIPEI CYCLE yearly.
