Microwave steamer
The 101° MicroGourmet is an innovative solution that allows steam cooking in the microwave oven. This method guarantees a fat-free cooking, retaining nutriments, fatty acids, natural flavors and vitamins. It steams from fresh or frozen and it is possible to reheat food and keep it warm until serving. It consists of a 2.5-l steamer base with steaming holes, a cover, a 400-ml water tray and a 600-ml colander tray. The base and cover have an inner shield which is not permeable to microwaves so the microwaves are reflected to be directed to the water in the water tray that turns to steam. The steam goes through the perforated bottom of the base and cooks the food.
