Small knives for picnic and home

Windmühlenmesser-Manufactur Robert Herder GmbH & Co. KG

The ladies in the twenties and thirties of the last century took along a little knife with a fixed blade to cut up and eat fruits or snacks, a so called "ladies-picnic-fruit-knife". These knives often had a handle of elaborated bamboo, horn or pearl lying in little cases made of felt, silk or leather for being carried in a handbag. That is our idea of the "pocket-dwarves". The shapes of the knives are certainly up-to-date, following the "big" models of nowadays but well suitable for the "pocket-dwarves". Of course they are also sharp, but only "en miniature". They are finely ground by hand for the highest sharpness with delicate handmade wooden handles from cherry, olive, juniper or arctic birch. There exist four models.
