A Brief Speculation on Autonomous Healthcare

Healthcare vision

Philips

The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed many longstanding weaknesses in healthcare systems across the globe. This speculative design piece challenges current models of care delivery, aiming to spark discourse amongst key industry players, shift perspectives, and entertain the possibility of new care models. By radically changing the starting point of healthcare to eliminate the need for travel, it reinterprets the functional and experiential aspects of care delivery. Through five scenarios of new autonomous care delivery, we explore how our healthcare needs and systems could evolve based on emerging social and technological trends.
