Private House

The house is built on reclaimed land that was once a beach, and the pine forest to the south is a remnant of the past shoreline. The client, a young couple, wanted a workplace with a good view, an open atrium, and a large storage space. With COVID-19 causing a reevaluation of the nature of living and working, they hoped to create a space where life and work could intermingle and flexibly adapt to future changes. Therefore, we came up with the idea of putting a large roof over the living space and floating the attic space as a void for future flexibility.
