COR 60K

Brochure

COR 60K is a manual. A set of instructions for the most complex mechanism we possess: the human heart. COR 60K explores metaphors, quotes and sayings and takes them literally. Which interfaces do I need to activate in order to see, or feel, or think with my heart? What factors determine its temperature, weight, or elasticity? What happens if it turns to stone, or is hardened to steel? And how do you mend a broken heart? COR 60K, a typography study project (in a course taught by Andreas Stötzner), adapts the clean, clear, cool format of technical operation manuals. Much diligence was dedicated to creating perfectly clean, friendly, but somewhat impersonal typography. The clearly structured layout is enriched by highlighted quotes and warnings as well as vectorized illustrations. It is not until one realizes what the object of this manual is that the absurdity of the format becomes clear.
