D-Pulp
Digital process for upper limb prothetics
Centro Protesi INAIL
In the coming decades, the global number of amputees is expected to rise, primarily due to ongoing wars. Nowadays, prosthesis manufacturing is predominantly a manual process, which limits production levels and increases costs. In this context, D-Pulp aims to innovate the traditional production process of upper limb myoelectric prostheses. The proposed solution is a new system that replaces the traditional manufacturing process using 3D scanning and printing. The system offers numerous advantages, including reduced production times and costs, the creation of a digital database, better aesthetic customization, as well as reduced weights.
