Book

This book documents an interdisciplinary research project (Design2context/HGK Zürich, HGB Leipzig, 2id Leipzig) under the direction of Prof. Ruedi Baur. It examines the reciprocal impact of standardization and design in a series of photo essays and text contributions. The photo essays document the relationship between laws and their visual expression, while in the text, the overall theme is examined from the standpoint of law, philosophy, ethnology and other branches of science. Severin Wucher was responsible for the graphic design of the book (Lars Müller Publishers), which reveals its own typographical design rules, thus simultaneously representing a book on the art of making books.
