Information leaflet

In 2009 the Braunschweig University of Art introduced a quality management system. Right at the beginning of the process this leaflet was published to inform all members of the university about the necessity and benefit of such a system in a humorous and entertaining way. It is also meant to effectively inform outsiders about the introduction of the quality management. The leaflet is informative and entertaining at the same time and it encourages to participate actively in the process of quality management. The photographic illustrations are not mounted digitally but built completely analogue and play an important role in achieving this goal. They visualize the abstract term of quality management in a playful manner, easily understandable and open to interpretation. The motif of Sisyphos for example is established in common memory. Here he is rolling a golden sphere up to the top of the “continuing process of improvement” which also allows critical interpretation. The same does a complicated system of tubes with uncertain output. The color gold represents quality and is part of all illustrations. They often depict buildings and details of the Braunschweig University of Art.
