Endengered phonograph
Educational toy
This design is about raising awareness of the need to protect and conserve endangered bird species. Typically, such messages are delivered via text, image or film, but these media do not always adequately convey the unique value of wildlife. This device, which is designed to mimic a retro phonograph, preserves the calls and songs of endemic bird species. The device has a strong haptic and visual element thanks to the wooden cylinders that are used to play the different birdsongs.
This player preserves the fleeting voices of endemic birds through an analog approach and a nostalgic form factor. It’s a smart way to stimulate children’s curiosity about nature while paying tribute to our past.
WINNER STATEMENTI am honored to receive this award. It is a great affirmation of our design. I hope that I can continue to improve in the future and continue to pay attention to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
