This 550-page book captures the life of New Zealand’s most awarded local eatery The Engine Room. It includes more than 2,000 images capturing the restaurant’s inner workings and more than 100 recipes. The brief was to express the honest values and passion of the restaurant. The design graphically references key elements found at the restaurant. All food photography has been shot on craft stock to reinforce the bistro feel. This book is designed to cook with – recipe text is typeset large for readability, ingredients are pulled out using the color blue and the layout is straightforward and practical.
