Insect exhibition

The design of the insect exhibition is an abstract world of plants, several times enlarged. It provides visitors with the perspective of a small insect. Eight of the columns that formed part of the original architecture of the room have been integrated with the 26 twisted, bent or recumbent columns that today shape the exhibition design. In daylight, the whole arrangement appears like a world of plants suffused with light and changing shades of green. Thirteen interactive sensor boards provide facts on 52 different subjects films, which can be called up by touching key words. New created computer games, 50 drawers, covered displays, display cabinets, showcases, a colony of living leaf-cutter ants and more than 1,000 living and mounted insects, ten banners showing 250 macro photos, large models and three audio stations invite to discover them.
