What does Europe think of the Golf? The Germans love their cars more than anything else. But what do the Danes and the Czechs, the Dutch and the Swiss think? Volkswagen Magazin asked this question on the occasion of the Golf’s 30th birthday and held a photo competition on the subject last year. Students at selected European schools of photography tried to find some answers. Their task was to find their own personal and country-specific way of dealing with the question. Up-and-coming photographers from seven countries submitted a total of 28 works. Some portrayed the Golf effusively and adoringly... Others couldn’t resist a sly wink.
