Shared Electric Mopeds and Helmets
It is expected that there will be more than 8 million shared electric mopeds (SEM) in China by 2025. According to statistics, one electric moped rider dies every hour. Wearing helmets can reduce the death rate of riders by 40%, but SEM helmets are liable to get dirty and lost, leading to a low usage rate. In addition, the seats often get wet after rain, making the moped inconvenient to use. This design creatively integrates the helmet, the seat, and the lock of the shared electric moped. Putting the helmet on the seat and pushing down the button, it is automatically locked, which achieves the effect of helmet, waterproofing and dustproofing.
"This design addresses one of the pain points of shared mobility: helmets. In this case, the helmet is integrated into the design of the moped. Users are motivated in a creative and convenient way to wear a helmet while using the e-scooter."
