Shared bookstore

A branding project for a shared bookstore that challenges the decline of bookstores and proposes a new model for the future. Conceived by novelist Shogo Imamura and creative director Kashiwa Sato, Sato developed the project comprehensively—from naming and logo to merchandise and spatial design. Each shelf is defined as a small, independently curated bookstore, collectively forming a diverse book mall. The signage system, inspired by library index boards, achieves both individuality and spatial unity. Through books, it fosters a community that transcends generations and backgrounds, becoming a cultural hub that supports its surrounding area.
