In July 2007, BMW Group acquired the license rights for Husqvarna Motorcycles. With the Husqvarna brand BWM opened up new possibilities of addressing young target groups with an attractive product and within a clearly limited segment. It was the objective to establish Husqvarna as an iconic, genuine off-road brand. This goal also marked the core message of the brand presentation, designed to ensure its unique positioning in the market: “Race Rebels – Wild at Heart. Born to Race!”
